Dr. Phull's expertise in providing outstanding and comprehensive cancer care began with his undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona (UA), where he laid his foundations in cancer biology. He culminated his undergraduate career with a challenging research fellowship abroad in Europe, funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the BRAVO! program. His post-baccalaureate experiences led him to enroll in a unique and prestigious Physician-Scientist program at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine (CCLCM) where he continued to pursue his interests while realizing his passion for Internal Medicine.

Subsequently, Dr. Phull was selected into a unique combined Internal Medicine/Physician Scientist training program at Scripps Green Hospital (SGH) and The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) as a KL-2 funded Clinical Scholar, where he also obtained a Master Degree in Clinical Investigation. He completed his fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the University of California San Diego (UCSD), where he reignited his greater passion and purpose for patient care and education, and was selected as the Chief Fellow.
